Stafford District Voluntary Services has served the voluntary sector in Stafford Borough since 1954. Today, we have over 100 Third Sector – voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise - groups from Stafford and surrounding districts in our membership, and provide services to many more groups.
Our direct services to organisations and groups across the whole of Stafford Borough includes bespoke support to groups wanting to develop what they offer their service users and customers.
We can give you information about legal structure, charity and company law, advice and assistance with funding applications, how to run better meetings and recruit staff, volunteers and Trustees, and much more.
| The SDVS building at North Walls hosts the Volunteer Centre Stafford, which helps recruit, place and support volunteers for organisations across Stafford Borough.
SDVS also manage the SkillBase training project, which provides inexpensive (and sometimes, free) training for Third Sector organisations, to help develop their paid staff, volunteers and Trustees.

| Increasingly, we are working much closer with public and private sector bodies to foster the important links between all Sectors, to both promote what we do and influence their work.
We provide accommodation in the SDVS Centre for approx. 10 organisations, which currently includes the Citizen’s Advice Bureau, Relate, Mencap, WRVS and several others.
We also manage the following services and projects: Back 2 Bikes Recycling & Employment; Staffordshire Rural Support Network; and the Stafford Borough Domestic Violence Project. | Our Centre in Stafford town is well-used by voluntary and community organisations and the general public, with dedicated conference facilities and meeting rooms, as well as office services for Third Sector organisations such as postal receipt, photocopying, laminating and so on.
We provide a payroll service, inexpensive access to ICT technical support and our book-keeping & accountancy service for small groups.
| Access to, and parking at SDVS Centre:
We are situated in Stafford town centre, and can easily be found by searching Google or Multimap.
The Centre has no parking on-site during the day, although there is ample paid short-term and long-term opposite the building on North Walls.
